The Project

Bechtel was awarded Phase 1 of the Intel Corp chip plant project, a 2.5 million square foot construction design in New Albany, Ohio. Mobile Conveying Services (Brisbane, Australia) supplied a Putzmiester TB200 Telebelt, and a Maxon 18yd3 Maxcrete, a concrete remix surge hopper.  The Maxcrete was used to accept concrete from truck mixers and feed the TB200 to place concrete for the footings, foundations and floor panels. With this combination of equipment, Bechtel was able to place concrete at rates up to 400 yds3 per hour with a reach of 200 feet.
